Honey I Shrunk the Cass

TRYING TO BE FIT AND HOPING IT STICKS. HOPING THIS FITUMBLR WILL INSPIRE ME AND KEEP MY MOTIVATION HIGH FOR A HEALTHY 2012.

Juicing and Restarts

So I bought a personal size blender.  And I’m trying to incorporate kale into my diet by juicing it with some frozen fruit.  In my momentary lapse in sanity I thought the blender wouldn’t need any juice, forgetting that it wasn’t a juicer but just a blender.  So it had a little trouble getting going with just the frozen fruit and I had to add some acai berry juice which is all I had on hand.

Minus getting used to the bits of kale, it was delicious!

I’m also planning to get back in the gym this week.  Getting a new card to replace the one I lost is obviously going to be my first step.

And something that I’m going to elaborate on in a later post is that I’ve been contemplating going gluten-free.  I should probably get some testing done.  But I went a week without gluten and my eczema almost completely cleared up.  Then when I went back to eating normal amounts, it immediately erupted again.  I can’t say for sure whether there is a causal link but I can say that I think at a minimum I’m going to reduce my gluten intake to once or twice a week.

It’s not incredibly difficult to grocery shop for gluten free items, especially at Trader Joe’s.  But the battle becomes harder when eating out and passing on desserts.

Hiatus

Wow.  This is going to sound like an excuse and maybe it is.  But starting this temp job really got me off my workout grind.  And it’s been a spiraling plummet of unhealthy eating  in the 2 months.

Back on the wagon and a couple updates.

I’m going to start tracking again on my fitnesspal.

I think I may have a low tolerance to gluten.  I almost completely cut out gluten and saw my eczema go away coupled with other health stuff that I think may be gluten related.  It’s going to be hard, but to jump start my going mostly gluten free I’m thinking about a cleanse I stumbled upon.  It’s called Kaeng Raeng.  Has anyone every heard of this?  Any advice would be back.

I’m going to start going to the gym before/after work at least 4 days a week.  I need to stop making the gym optional.

I feel like I’ve lost so much time and gone backwards in my journey during the hiatus.  Hoping that the fitblr community on tumblr helps keep me going.

Very true. I find that I never want bad food if I don’t have it but after I indulge it is so much harder to switch back to eating healthy for the rest of the day.
